Stand with your feet parallel, about six inches apart, knees slightly bent, with toes pointing straight ahead. Cup your hands and place them at your sides at waist level with fingers pointing up and thumbs pointing forward, with your arms rounded outward and elbows pointing to either side. Face straight ahead with your eyes closed and your mouth slightly open.

Later that evening, Hrothgar retired to the hall of his wife and lay beside her in her bed. He was silent at first, but the princess knew he was troubled. Finally, he spoke: “I am afraid that we have offended Thor and that he will turn against us.” As the leader of the warriors his fear was a valid concern, and he was looking for reassurance from Wealhtheow.

She answered, “Forseti is a loved and respected god too. He is the nephew of Thor, and though they may not always agree, Thor knows there is a place for him among the gods. I expect that Thor believes that Forseti, not being a warrior, will end up with Hel, the daughter of Loki and Angrboda, whom Odin threw into the underworld to care for those who died, not of honor in battle, but of illness and old age. I do not believe that Forseti will be punished in this way and know that there are other alternatives. Thor will not turn against you for valuing the judgment of his nephew Forseti and a priest of his, Forsetason. Your men may not understand this. They think that if they show belief in anything but power, Thor will diminish their strength. They do not have to turn to Forsetason. But when you become king, you will need to appreciate the power of compassion, as well as the power of the bear.”

With these words of his wife, Hrothgar became quiet and eventually fell asleep.
